Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21 1956) is an actor from Canada, British. famous for her character in the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She played the same role in the two films Sex and the City 2008 as well as Sex and the City 2 (2010). Her other notable roles include her lead roles in the 1980s films Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall's performance in the HBO TV show Sex & the City is one of the most memorable. Cattrall known as an actress, has credited her role as Samantha Jones as a career-defining character.
